This video has three good examples of simplifying monomials by using the properties of exponents. All examples are of dividing monomials and subtracting exponents. Negative exponents are also covered, and all steps are explained thoroughly. This is a good dividing monomials tutorial if you have seen this concept in the past and need a refresher.
