Lesson Summary:

In this lesson on logarithms, the focus is on graphing logarithmic functions. The first step is to rewrite the function as y = log base 2 of x, and then rewrite it as an exponential function, which is 2 to the y = x. By making a table of ordered pairs and plotting them on a graph, the unique shape of a logarithmic function can be seen. Additionally, by understanding the basic shapes of both exponential and logarithmic functions, it becomes easier to graph more complex functions.

Lesson Description:

In this video, we graph logarithmic equations.
