In this lesson, we learn how to find the zeros of a fourth degree polynomial and how to determine the multiplicity of those zeros. We start by factoring the polynomial to its linear factors and then identifying the values of x that make the function equal to zero. The multiplicity of a zero is determined by the power of its corresponding factor. A zero with an even multiplicity will touch the x-axis while a zero with an odd multiplicity will cross it.
