In this lesson, we learn how to find square roots of variable expressions. We look at variables with different exponents and learn how to simplify them using the laws of exponents. We also learn that a variable with an even exponent is a perfect square, and when we take the square root of it, we get the same variable with half the exponent. We practice simplifying expressions with perfect squares and variables with even exponents, and we are introduced to the idea of irrational numbers and how to approximate them.
