Lesson Summary:

In this lesson, you will learn two methods to find the slope from a graph and a table. The teacher emphasizes the importance of understanding the concept of change when finding the slope. Whether you are given two points on a graph or a table of values, you can use the formula of slope equals change in y over change in x to calculate the slope. It is also highlighted that any two points on a linear equation will give you the same slope.

Lesson Description:

Finding the slope from a graph and table

I show how to solve math problems online during live instruction in class. This is my way of providing free tutoring for the students in my class and for students anywhere in the world. Every video is a short clip that shows exactly how to solve math problems step by step. The problems are done in real time and in front of a regular classroom. These videos are intended to help you learn how to solve math problems, review how to solve a math problems, study for a test, or finish your homework. I post all of my videos on YouTube, but if you are looking for other ways to interact with me and my videos you can follow me on the following pages through My Blog, Twitter, or Facebook.

This lesson shows several ways of finding the slope of a line. First, it shows how to find the slope by looking at the graph of a line. Then, it shows how to find the slope algebraically with 2 points that are on the line. Lastly, it shows how to find the slope algebraically by taking 2 points from a table of values.
