In this lesson, you will learn how to put a linear equation in standard form when A is negative. The standard form equation has the coefficient of the x variable as a positive integer, and all coefficients must have the greatest common factor of 1. The steps involve rearranging the equation to get the y variable on one side and then dividing by the negative value of A to make it positive.
