Solving a literal equation
In this lesson, you will learn how to solve a literal equation with one rational expression. The key to solving a problem with a rational term is to recognize that the inverse operation is to multiply, not divide like with a regular variable. By adding or subtracting variables and then multiplying by the rational denominator, you can solve for the desired variable. With this method, you can easily solve complex literal equations with rational expressions.
