Lesson Summary:

In this lesson, you will learn how to add fractions with the same or different denominators. The key is finding a common denominator and adding the numerators while keeping the denominator the same. If the fractions have different denominators, you will need to find the lowest common denominator (LCD) by listing out the multiples and then converting the fractions to have the same denominator before adding them together. The result may be an improper fraction, which can be converted to a mixed number.
