Reducing Fractions Part 2a
In this lesson on reducing fractions, Professor Perez uses several examples to demonstrate how to find the largest number that divides evenly into both the numerator and denominator in order to reduce a fraction to its lowest terms. He emphasizes the importance of knowing your times tables and demonstrates how to divide both the top and bottom numbers by the same factor until the fraction can no longer be reduced. By the end of the lesson, students should feel confident in their ability to reduce fractions efficiently without the use of a calculator.
