Meets NCTM Standards:
Lesson Summary:

In this lesson on ratios, Professor Perez teaches how to write ratios and reduce them. Examples of ratios with whole numbers, decimals, and mixed numbers are presented, along with two different techniques to solve them. The first technique involves using the clearing fractions method, while the second involves writing the ratio as a division problem and multiplying by the reciprocal. Professor Perez provides clear steps to follow and encourages viewers to practice these methods.

Lesson Description:

This lesson talks about writing many different ratios as fractions and reducing them to simplest terms. Ratios include decimals and fractions, and some get pretty complicated. This is a great tutorial for becoming fluent with decimals and fractions.

Does not explain what a ratio is. Does not explain the difference between a ration and a fraction. Very disturbing and annoying presentation - probably the worst i've seen.
