Lesson Summary:

In this second part of the Lattice Multiplication series, Julie Harland explains how to multiply whole numbers using a lattice with more examples. She shows two ways to arrange the numbers and the importance of checking the answer by swapping the position of the numbers. Lattice multiplication eliminates the need for carrying and makes it less confusing to multiply large numbers. The method is more efficient and less prone to errors than the traditional multiplication method.
