Meets NCTM Standards:
Features a TI Calculator
Lesson Summary:

In this lesson, students learn how to find the function that represents a relationship between two input/output pairs. Using regression, students can quickly and easily find the constant rate of change and initial value without making mistakes or spending too much time on the calculation. With this skill, students can make predictions and solve real-world problems by evaluating and solving using the regression function.

Lesson Description:

Enter relationship data on your graphing calculator and determine the best fit model function for that relationship using regression (STAT/EDIT, STAT/CALC). Then, use that best fit model function to make predictions by evaluating and solving using the regression function (VARS/Statistics/EQ/RegEQ).
