In this lesson, we learn how to solve a literal equation for B using the distributive property. To solve the equation, we need to follow the rules of reverse pepnos, which means undoing addition and subtraction first. Then we undo multiplication, followed by division. It is important to remember that when dealing with fractions, we can multiply by the reciprocal to get rid of them, and we always have to multiply the reciprocal on both sides of the equation. Finally, we can simplify the equation by getting rid of the parentheses and solving for B.
