Lesson Summary:

In this lesson on two-step equations, we learn to use inverse operations to undo addition and subtraction before undoing multiplication or division. To solve the equation, we circle the variable to indicate that it is pinned, and then use inverse operations to undo each step of the equation. Ultimately, we arrive at the solution by isolating the variable and performing the necessary arithmetic. Remembering these steps will allow us to easily solve any two-step equation presented to us.
