Lesson Summary:

In this lesson, we learn how to solve a two-step equation with the distributive property. We need to simplify the equation by multiplying what is outside of the parentheses to everything that's inside of the parentheses. Then, we can simplify further by adding or subtracting terms to isolate the variable. Once we have isolated the variable, we can solve for it by undoing the operations that were done to it. In the end, we get our answer by dividing or multiplying as required.
