Lesson Summary:

In this lesson, you will learn how to simplify roots with imaginary numbers and simplify complex numbers. First, by finding square numbers and rewriting the problem, you can simplify the root. For complex numbers in the form a + bi, you can simply add or subtract the real and imaginary parts. Additionally, you can use the foil method or box method to solve problems with two binomials. By the end of the lesson, you will be able to simplify complex numbers and roots with ease.

Lesson Description:

How to simplify roots with imaginary numbers and simplify complex numbers

I show how to solve math problems online during live instruction in class. This is my way of providing free tutoring for the students in my class and for students anywhere in the world. Every video is a short clip that shows exactly how to solve math problems step by step. The problems are done in real time and in front of a regular classroom. These videos are intended to help you learn how to solve math problems, review how to solve a math problems, study for a test, or finish your homework. I post all of my videos on YouTube, but if you are looking for other ways to interact with me and my videos you can follow me on the following pages through My Blog, Twitter, or Facebook.

The instructor demonstrates how to simplify a radical expression that has both a constant and a variable under the radical symbol. He then demonstrates how to add two complex numbers, and how to multiply two complex numbers. All three examples are explained clearly with each step of work explained clearly.
