Lesson Summary:

In this lesson, the instructor teaches how to find the solutions to a given trinomial. To do this, they isolate the variable by factoring the quadratic equation. By using a quadratic form, they multiply the quadratic coefficient and the constant and find two numbers that multiply to give the constant and add to give the linear coefficient. They then use these two numbers to group the quadratic equation, factor it out, and solve for x. The final solutions are x equals one and x equals negative one-third.
