Lesson Summary:

In this lesson, the teacher demonstrates how to use the cross product to solve a proportion with a binomial. The example provided is a bit more complex than previous ones, but by representing x + 1 as 12 times x + 1, and then using the distributive property, the problem can be solved using simple algebraic techniques. The teacher stresses the importance of writing down the steps and practicing, as there will be a quiz later.
