In this lesson, you will learn how to find the area of a circle given its diameter. The diameter is the distance across the circle, while the radius is the distance from the center to the outside. The area of a circle is pi times the radius squared. By finding the radius, which is half of the diameter, you can easily calculate the area of the circle using this formula. Leave the answer in terms of pi for an exact answer.
