In this lesson, you will learn how to find the volume and surface area of a cylinder using simple formulas. The total surface area is all-encompassing of the outside of the cylinder and can be found using the formula 2πrh + 2πr². The volume can be found using the formula πr²h. By understanding these formulas, you can find the measurements of any cylindrical object such as a coffee can or an oatmeal container.
