Lesson Summary:

In this lesson, we learn how to calculate the surface area and volume of a rectangular prism. To find the surface area, all sides of the prism are added together, while the volume is calculated by multiplying the length, width, and height of the prism. The dimensions of the prism are used to find the area of each face, which is then used to calculate the total surface area, while the area of the base is multiplied by the height to find the volume.
