In this lesson, we learn how to find the zeros and multiplicity of a fifth degree polynomial function. The zeros, also known as roots or x-intercepts, are the values of t that make the output value of the function zero. Multiplicity refers to how many times a zero appears as a factor in the polynomial. If a zero appears to an even power, it has a multiplicity of two and will only touch the x-axis. If a zero appears to an odd power, it has a multiplicity of one and will intersect the x-axis.
